Teddy Bear Club UPDATE
A LETTER TO OUR FAMILIES
WELCOME BACK TO TEDDY BEAR CLUB!
It’s been sooooo long and WE CAN’T WAIT to welcome you back!
We are excited to announce the reopening of Teddy Bear Club! Our goal is to continue to provide a safe, clean and comfortable space for children and their grownups to meet, play, learn and create memories!
We truly appreciate your past loyalty/interest and PATIENCE as we safely reopen our center. We will begin our reopening in CAREFULLY planned phases. Saturdays we will be offering TBC PLAYDATES, for up to 5 children with their parent/caregiver (great for families, extended families, or school friends that can safely see each other and create memories!). This TBC PLAYDATE session will include 2 hours in one of our rooms, with art materials included for each individual child ($120). MY CUB AND ME CLASSES will be held on Sundays (English and Spanish classes available, $30 for non members, $25 for members). Space rental is also available (great for Speech, OT, or Physical therapy; as well as small events/workshops). Online registration and payment will be required before each session/class.
At Teddy Bear Club we’ve always stressed the importance of cleanliness and providing a space that is safe for all who visit. We have "SANITATION STATIONS" in each room with child size sinks, hand soap, paper towels, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes- and will continue to provide these essentials. In addition to our existing protocols we will also roll out new safety measures to protect our children, their grownups and our staff from the spread of COVID-19. Below are additional changes we are making to ensure the safety of your family, as well as our staff. *These include, but are not limited to:
-taking temperatures at the door, upon arrival
-filling out a questionnaire
-hand washing upon entering rooms and providing disposable gloves for adults and children
-all adults are required to wear masks
-children over the age of 2 are required to wear masks
-no shoe policy for adults and children, all shoes must be removed before entering any room, and placed in a plastic bag in the cubbies provided
-all classes and events will run at 25% capacity, with only 1 adult allowed in the playspace per child, children will be seated 6ft apart for each class
-each child will receive their own set of art supplies, to minimize sharing of materials
-TBC PLAYDATE time sessions will be limited to 1 room only
-kitchenette area will be closed, but staff will provide any items requested (coffee, tea, water, etc.)
-toys that cannot be cleaned easily will be removed and put away, and only brought back out when we can be certain that it is ok to do so
Once again, these are just some of the changes we are making, but as always, we will continue to monitor the ongoing pandemic and will continue to follow the CDC and Department of Mental Health & Hygiene guidelines, and work with local health officials, health consultants and our community to determine the most appropriate plan of action. We welcome any feedback or concerns parents/caregivers may have. If you have any questions please email us. We look forward to re-opening our doors to you all, and having you enjoy our playspace!
It may be that schools, daycare centers, and play centers may open and close rapidly for a time as the Covid-19 pandemic plays out, our model moving forward may become a hybrid one, using our physical center when possible, but shifting to an online option when required or preferable.
We also offer our TBC STORYTIME KITS for those of you who prefer to do activities at home, without the prep and planning. Our TBC STORYTIME KITS deliver tons of fun as children explore different themes while practicing foundational skills. Let us take care of making learning fun at home! (see 'Our Programs' Tab for more info).
If you signed up for a yearly membership before we were ordered to close, the membership will still be valid for a full year (NOT including the time we were closed) so you will still be able to enjoy our space for a full year!
Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook for important updates. We will continue to monitor our emails, messages, and DM's so please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.
Here at TBC, the health and safety of the families who visit our playspace is our top priority.
